Our mission is to cultivate a community where seasonal, balanced diets are the norm. We encourage people to treat their bodies, each other and the Earth with love and respect.

My Story:
I grew up in a small town in western Colorado. I always had a passion for cooking, tasting, baking and gardening. Wandering around the neighborhood picking stone fruit, or herbs and tomatoes from Dad’s garden are some of my most cherished memories. But my family were simple meat and potatoes folk, and I wanted more. I was drawn to the classical French lifestyle, where romantic outdoor markets and local artisans are part of everyday life.
I pursued the traditional path of a professional chef, moving to the big city of Denver, working in the finest restaurants while attending a culinary university. However, that lifestyle was challenging. I quickly became overworked, anxious and unhappy. I spent many years like that, grinding in hot kitchens, putting in the time to be a great chef.
My knowledge and palate grew and matured. I tasted everything I could, from stinky cheeses, fine cognacs, exotic fruits and fresh sea urchin. But I was dying inside, neglecting myself, mind, body and soul. Once I realized this, I started seeing toxic systems everywhere, in my life and my community: excess, waste, trash, toxins and processed food products.
People were disconnected - from themselves, the Earth, their foods and each other.
I finally started healing when I moved home and began working on a local farm. Slowing down allowed space to heal. I rekindled my passion eating warm melon right off the vine, fresh green garlic scapes, and super ripe stone fruits that brought back happy memories from when I was a little girl. I was able to get to know real people in my community, the ones that really make this world turn: farmers.
Doing my best to make small changes in my life feels good, but I know that healing my relationship with myself will be a life-long process. I now make it my mission to bring awareness to the world so that as a culture, we can all heal.
